After dinner and a few rousing hands of cards, we (Adam, Abby, Brady, and I) decided to hop in the car to visit Isaac at work since we haven't really seen him in a few days. (And to get ice cream, since his job is to dispense those delightful frozen confections.)

We succeeded in getting the ice cream, but not in seeing Isaac, as the employees who did deliver our order told us he was in the restroom. Go figure.

Anyway, it was a blessing to be with these people. It was a blessing to eat delicious treats. It's a blessing to have Abby back home for a few days. It's a blessing to look at the photo and to see BearBear and Chub safely buckled into the back seat. And it will be a blessing to have some time with Isaac --and Adam and Abby and Brady-- tomorrow.

There may be troubles aplenty in this life, but there are blessings aplenty as well. And I am grateful.
