I was out and about this morning after my Bible study when I pulled up to a red light and glanced out the window.
And this is what I saw: a largely unmaintained median, complete with patches of weeds and leaves-past-their prime and trash and even handfuls of gravel. But what caught my attention amid those less glamorous items vying for notice were the clusters of vibrant yellow flowers. I looked at them for a few moments before the light turned green and I drove away.
But I kept thinking about them. They were a good reminder to me to keep seeking out beauty in unexpected places.
