After last night's disappointing loss, the Phillies hit the field tonight for the season's very last game.
Brady smoked a triple to deep, deep center field and a pretty great catch robbed him of a second deep hit later in the game, but it was okay because everyone contributed. They were enthusiastic and didn't let the frustration of having to play a second game get to them. And I'm grateful that my prayer for them to just be loose and enjoy being out there together was answered.
This life we share often involves resilience, so I'm thankful that these 11 and 12-year olds showed so much of it tonight. It will no doubt serve them all very well in the future.
But for now, yay Phillies!
