 I took one photo today and this is it. Fortunately, it's not entirely random.

During the party on Friday night, I mentioned to Valerie that Isaac loved the blanket she gave out at last year's gathering. And that he manifests his love by stealing it from me as often as he can. Without missing a beat, she replied that she still had leftovers, and sent one home with me.

I promptly passed it on to Isaac, who gleefully received the unexpected gift. In fact, here he is enjoying its warmth this afternoon while playing a video game.

So today I'm grateful for thoughtful friends and for the truth that simple things can mean a lot.
