For the past few years, we've been graced with a few particularly hearty volunteer tomato plants in the garden bed. There are a few this year as well, but the extended drought has made them less healthy than usual. But
this year we have a volunteer pumpkin vine along the fence.
It amuses me to no end that this pumpkin plant just took root and is growing so happily. I've tried growing pumpkins before and my deliberate efforts have never yielded any results.
Just goes to show that plants grown by God's hand alone are truly special.
