This get-together was a God-thing.

Yesterday afternoon as I pulled into the pickup line at Brady's school, my friend Jen came to mind. I hadn't seen her in almost a year and we hadn't talked in several months, but I suddenly felt like I should text her. So I did.

And not two minutes later, she texted back to say that she'd been thinking of texting me to see if I wanted to meet for lunch. Weird, huh? I don't believe in coincidences so voila, God-thing.

Anyhow, we got together today at The Press. We ate and talked and caught up on each other's lives. And I savored that time of reconnection with someone who is a truly lovely person.
